Genuine RAF Sheepskin Flying Jacket With Certificate of Authentication
This Authentic British Flying jacket is a genuine sheepskin R. Flying Jacket as worn by British pilots in World War 2. I will be sending the certificate of authentication along with the letter I received from the makers as seen in the many pictures included here. I bought this many years ago but the actual use it has had is very little, it has been worn by me about twenty times over 3 winters only. I then outgrew its size due to weight gain. The size is a large and will fit 38 -40 chest. Once you put this jacket on and zip it up you will instantly feel the warmth in under one minute but that is exactly what they were made for they are incredibly warm and stay warm. All zips have been checked and work perfectly. I have been reluctant to let it go but times are hard now.
Time for someone else to enjoy. It has had extraordinarily little use hence the sheep skin being in almost perfect order. As you will see in the pictures the fluffy sheepskin has not stated to "Pill" or "Flatten" at all.
It has been in the wardrobe most of its life and the collar has a crease on the neckline which appears bald in the pictures, but I did this picture purposely to show how it looks on a hanger. Once it is being worn you cannot see, in fact on all the other pictures it can not be seen at all. I have not put any wax, polish or anything else on the leather to make it look something its not, however it can be done if you prefer the shinny look as seen in some other pictures I have seen on this site.It would be silly for me to let it go foe less especially with the authentication certificate and its history.
